Advanced Sonohysterograms

In office procedure done in conjunction with ultrasound to evaluate abnormal uterine bleeding. Procedure is accomplished by placing a small catheter into the uterine cavity and instilling sterile water to better visualize the cavity and any abnormality, such as a polyp or fibroid.

Saline sonohysterogram is a simple outpatient ultrasound procedure designed to help the doctor look at the endometrial cavity (the inside part of the uterus) and the endometrium (the lining of the endometrial cavity).

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic sonography (ultrasonography) is an ultrasound-based diagnostic imaging technique used for visualizing subcutaneous body structures including tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs for possible pathology or lesions. The practice of examining pregnant women using ultrasound is called obstetric sonography, and is widely used.

In physics, 'ultrasound' refers to sound waves with a frequency too high for humans to hear. Ultrasound images (sonograms) are made by sending a pulse of ultrasound into tissue using an ultrasound transducer (probe). The sound reflects and echoes off parts of the tissue; this echo is recorded and displayed as an image to the operator.

Gynecological Surgery

Gynecological surgery refers to surgery on the female reproductive system. Gynecological surgery is usually performed by gynecologists. It includes procedures for benign conditions, cancer, infertility, and incontinence. Gynecological surgery may occasionally be performed for elective or cosmetic purposes. Including laparoscopy (minimally invasive) approaches.

Infertility Assessment
& Treatment

There are various causes of infertility which may be related to female, male or a combination of male and female factors. Female causes are usually related to the female's age, issues with ovulation or issues with the pelvic anatomy, such as endometriosis or polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

Following your initial consultation with your fertility specialist, you can expect that several investigations will be arranged. These may include blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound for the female and semen analysis for the male.

Menopausal Counseling

Many women going through menopause suffer from a wide range of symptoms including irregular bleeding, hot flashes, insomnia, night sweats, fatigue, depression and more. There are several treatment options available to help relieve these symptoms, and our doctors can help you decide which option is best for you.

Prescription medication with estrogen and progesterone, known as hormone replacement therapy, is a popular treatment for women to treat symptoms of menopause and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Patients can also seek treatment for their individual symptoms, and should maintain an active and healthy life to help feel their best.
